Ryan is recognized globally as a pioneer and leader in the XR, gaming and crypto industries.

In 2020, Ryan co-founded Zebra Labs, a web3 company dedicated to bringing celebrities to the metaverse by creating virtual celebrities and digital collectibles.

In 2015, Ryan co-founded Outpost Capital, a cross-border early stage venture fund based in San Francisco and China, focusing on Metaverse, AI, VR/AR, Blockchain, Gaming/Esports, Transmedia and Digital Entertainment. Outpost Capital has been rated multiple times as one of the top XR investment brands in silicon valley and the world.

Having a multicultural background and proven track records, Ryan oversees companies in the US and greater China with solid insights and strong connections in both markets. Ryan has been frequently featured by international media, and invited to deliver keynotes at numerous conferences globally.

In 2017, Ryan took the role of Chief Business Officer at MOAC Blockchain - a high performance Multi-Layered public blockchain, and took the company to top 100 on CoinMarketCap.

Prior to Outpost, Ryan was a Venture Partner at CLI Ventures managing its TMT investment arm with over $200M AUM.

Early in his career, Ryan has compiled a comprehensive and successful career as an investment banker at Citigroup and Societe Generale in New York City.

Ryan is passionate about education and social impact. In 2021 and 2022 he was an industry speaker and contributed to the Metaverse program at University of Washington. In 2018 and 2019 he was a guest lecturer at the University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts for the Gaming and Entrepreneur program, and in 2017 he was a coach at Nanyang Technology University Startup Case Challenge program. Outside work, Ryan is a snowboarder, world explorer and collector of stylish hats.
