Andy was first introduced to VR around 1998 with a travesty of a headset that makes Google Cardboard look state of the art, and makes motor cycle helmets feel light.
As gut wrenching as this monstrosity was, it still planted a seed that would for him, grow to fruition upon the release of the Rift CV 1, which would lead him into the hobby he waited half a lifetime for, and through almost random chance (and not knowing when not to volunteer 😉 ) lead him to be part of a small team running one of the largest Oculus Facebook groups in the world.
You can call it Meta, but just like calling a Marathon A Snickkers, you would be wrong
